AltPep

AltPep Corporation is a Seattle-based biotechnology company developing groundbreaking disease-modifying treatments and detection tools for amyloid diseases by targeting early molecular triggers: alpha-sheet toxic soluble oligomers. The company's customized synthetic peptides are designed to selectively bind to these toxic oligomers in order to both detect and neutralize them throughout disease progression. AltPep's lead programs focus on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, with the broader goal of enabling early, pre-symptomatic detection and treatment for conditions that affect over a billion people worldwide. The company was spun out of the Daggett Research Group at the University of Washington and is headquartered along Seattle's Lake Union.
