Making human editors the most powerful force in the newsroom
Visual Revenue was a New York-based editorial analytics startup founded in 2010 by Alex Poon, Dennis R Mortensen, Charlie Holbech, and Tejaswi Nadahalli. The platform served as an Editorial Support System for more than 250 global online publishers including Comcast, The Atlantic, Dallas Morning News, NBC Universal, Cox Media Group, Le Monde, The Independent, and News International. It enabled editors to see real-time performance of every link on their homepage and section fronts, get placement recommendations, and optimize social content sharing. The company raised $2.21M from investors including Outbrain, SoftBank Capital, IA Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, and NYC Seed before being acquired by Outbrain in March 2013.
