Remedium

Remedium Bio is a gene therapy company founded in 2020 by CEO Frank Luppino and CTO Alex Goraltchouk, developing treatments for diseases with large unmet clinical need. Its proprietary Prometheus platform is designed to enable safe, durable, and dose-adjustable delivery of therapeutic genes via a single subcutaneous injection, aiming to replace repeat-dosed biologic treatments at a fraction of the cost and without genetic integration. The company's lead program is a disease-modifying gene therapy for osteoarthritis built on what it describes as the only clinically validated chondro-regenerative mechanism, and its pipeline extends into weight loss, type 2 diabetes, stroke, immunology, and neurology. Remedium is based at Lilly Gateway Labs in Boston as part of Eli Lilly's Catalyze360 program, and in September 2025 it entered a multi-target R&D collaboration with Eli Lilly to develop gene therapies for obesity and type 2 diabetes. In August 2026 the company announced the initial close of a $10 million Series A financing led by Lifespan Vision Ventures, with continued participation from Eli Lilly and HKX Capital, to advance lead programs toward first-in-human studies.
