At the heart of its platform is the Nutcracker Manufacturing Unit (NMU), which uses microfluidics biochip technology to compress an entire bioreactor, purification column, and in-process monitoring into a 9-square-inch device. The NMU's 8,000 sq. ft. cGMP facility in Emeryville, California can manufacture PCVs for 2,000 patients annually with a three-week turnaround from sequence to completed drug product. The NMU-Symphony system enables on-demand, individualized manufacture of RNA-based personalized therapeutics at scale.
