Neion Bio is a New York City-based biotechnology company building the biomanufacturing platform of the future by harnessing nature's most efficient protein factories — the chicken egg — to produce life-saving medicines at dramatically lower cost. The company was co-founded by Dimi Kellari (CEO) and Sam Levin and spent approximately two years in stealth before emerging in 2024 with an $11 million seed round led by Caffeinated Capital, alongside a major pharmaceutical partnership. Neion Bio's proprietary Raptor™ platform combines next-generation genetic engineering and stem cell biology to create living bioreactors capable of manufacturing any biomolecule at scale. The platform enables production of monoclonal antibodies, enzymes, fusion proteins, peptides, cytokines, and other biologics for therapeutic or non-therapeutic use, at any scale, with site flexibility and rapid ramp-up. In 2025, the company raised a $23 million Series A also led by Caffeinated Capital to expand its capabilities. Neion Bio partners with biosimilar and biopharma companies to solve critical challenges in traditional biomanufacturing — including high cost, slow scalability, batch-to-batch variability, and supply chain vulnerability — with the mission of making medicine as affordable and accessible as food.
