Ecco

Ecco is an AI-powered streaming content discovery platform that solves the fragmented search problem across multiple streaming services. Founded by Jeremy Greene and Janelle Greene, Ecco enables users to search across 21+ services — including Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Max, Paramount+, Peacock, and Tubi — using natural language queries beyond basic title or actor search. Users can search descriptive criteria like 'movies where ninjas are surfing' and Ecco surfaces matching titles available to watch now, with direct deep-linking into the streaming service. The iOS app launched April 9, 2024 and Android followed in March 2025. The company raised a $7 million oversubscribed seed round in mid-2025 at a $35 million valuation, led by Pelion Venture Partners with participation from Ben Silverman, Shaquille O'Neal, and others. Headquartered in Irvine, California, Ecco has approximately 20 employees and is currently U.S.-only with plans to expand internationally.
