Certiv is a Seattle-based AI security startup that builds a runtime assurance layer for autonomous AI agents operating on employee devices. Its software runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux endpoints, acting as a gatekeeper between AI agents and the systems they interact with — evaluating each action against company policies and blocking violations in real time. The platform enables enterprises to detect unauthorized AI agents, trace the full chain of reasoning behind agent actions, and enforce intent-based policies rather than purely action-based rules. Founded in June 2025, Certiv emerged from stealth in March 2026 with $4.2M in pre-seed funding from Aviso Ventures, Founders Co-op, Fortson, and others.
