Capital Foods Private Limited is an Indian FMCG company founded in 1996 by Ajay Gupta in Mumbai, India, best known for its flagship brands Ching's Secret and Smith & Jones, which together pioneered the 'Desi Chinese' cuisine category in India. Over nearly three decades, the company grew into one of India's fastest-growing food companies with a portfolio spanning sauces, masalas, noodles, and ready-to-eat products sold across the country. In January 2024, Tata Consumer Products acquired Capital Foods for approximately $620 million (₹5,100 crore), bringing the brands under the Tata group umbrella.
