ArmaGen Technologies

ArmaGen Technologies (now ArmaGen, Inc.) was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing therapies for severe neurological disorders, specifically targeting the challenge of crossing the blood-brain barrier. Founded in 2004 by Dr. William M. Pardridge, the company pioneered receptor-mediated transcytosis technology, fusing therapeutics to antibodies that bind insulin or transferrin receptors to enable brain delivery. ArmaGen built a pipeline for lysosomal storage disorders including Hurler syndrome (MPS I), Hunter syndrome (MPS II), metachromatic leukodystrophy, and Sanfilippo syndromes. The company was acquired by JCR Pharmaceuticals in March 2020.
