Tioki

Tioki is an online professional network exclusively for educators, co-founded by Mandela Schumacher-Hodge and Brian Martinez. Originally launched as DemoLesson after winning first prize at Startup Weekend San Francisco in June 2011, the platform rebranded to Tioki in September 2012. It provides educators with a space to build professional profiles, connect with peers, discover job opportunities, and access teaching resources such as lesson plans, worksheets, and education apps. Tioki received seed funding from Mitch Kapor of Kapor Capital and 500 Startups, and was accepted into the Imagine K12 education startup accelerator. The platform is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
