THEVA Dünnschichttechnik GmbH is a German manufacturer of second-generation high-temperature superconductor (HTS) wire, marketed under the brand THEVA Pro-Line. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Ismaning near Munich, the company has built on over 20 years of expertise in coating technology and equipment engineering to establish the first industrial-scale production line for 2G superconductors in Germany, launched in 2012. THEVA's superconductor wire enables the transport of extremely high electrical currents with near-zero losses, allowing it to replace copper conductors in high-performance applications such as wind power generators, industrial drives, power cables, and power rails.
