Stegra (formerly H2 Green Steel) is building the world's first large-scale green steel plant in Boden, Sweden, using green hydrogen produced from renewable electricity to replace coal in steelmaking. The plant features Europe's largest green hydrogen electrolyzer and will produce near-zero emission steel at giga-scale, reducing steel-related CO2 emissions by over 7 million tonnes per year when fully operational.
