Boatbound was a peer-to-peer boat rental marketplace founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, California. The platform connected private boat owners with renters across the United States, processing over $25 million in booking requests before being acquired by competitor Boatsetter in August 2017. Boatbound was backed by 500 Startups, equity crowdfunding platforms, and boat manufacturer Brunswick, raising more than $5 million in total.
