The Boring Company

The Boring Company (TBC) designs, builds, and operates all-electric underground Loop transportation tunnels to solve urban traffic congestion. Founded by Elon Musk in 2016, TBC developed Prufrock, a tunneling machine capable of boring 1 mile per week — up to 6x faster than its predecessor. The company operates the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) Loop with demonstrated peak capacity exceeding 4,500 passengers per hour, and has begun tunneling for Nashville's Music City Loop. TBC's mission is to enable rapid, point-to-point underground transit that can scale with any city's growth by adding additional tunnel levels.
