Ultra energy-efficient infrastructure for new-generation AI inference
SpiNNcloud is a deep-tech spinoff from Technische Universität Dresden developing brain-inspired neuromorphic supercomputing infrastructure for energy-efficient AI inference. Its SpiNNaker2 chip architecture uses thousands of low-power Arm-based cores to simulate spiking neural networks, achieving up to 18x higher energy efficiency than GPUs for AI inference workloads. SpiNNcloud's systems are deployed at leading research institutions across Europe and the US, including Leipzig University and Sandia National Labs, for applications in drug discovery, protein folding simulation, and AI workloads requiring dynamic sparsity.
