Packaging that never becomes waste
Shellworks is a London-based biomaterials startup developing Vivomer, a petroleum-free, home-compostable biopolymer made from naturally produced PHAs. The material mimics plastic in performance — shelf-stable, injection-mouldable, and microplastic-free — enabling beauty and consumer brands to replace single-use plastic packaging with a material that biodegrades in soil, compost, and marine environments. Customers include Unilever brands. The company raised $15M in Series A funding in March 2026.
