Qualia Health

Qualia Health was a University of Chicago D4 health-technology startup that built software and a smartphone app to measure overall well-being and turn those signals into action for patients and clinicians. The Qualia Health Check iOS app asked daily qualitative health questions and was paired with devices such as Fitbit, an iHealth blood-pressure cuff, and a Withings scale in a Lincoln Park Village senior study. The team also explored personalized care plans between visits and experiments aimed at researchers and pharmaceutical companies. After an Apple-featured App Store launch, the company ran out of funds in March 2015 and declined further friends-and-family financing.
