Growing protein-rich potatoes at scale
Founded in 2022 by Dr. Maya Sapir-Mir (CEO) and Dr. Raya Liberman-Aloni (CTO), PoLoPo is based in Israel and uses its proprietary SuperAA technology to genetically engineer potatoes to produce ovalbumin (egg white protein) at scale. The company partners with snack brands and growers to create better-for-you snacking products. PoLoPo raised $1.75M in a pre-seed round in 2023 and has since shifted focus to the snack industry.
