NeuScience is a San Antonio, Texas-based biotechnology company using artificial intelligence and high-throughput cell assays to discover and develop novel treatments for solid tumor cancers. The platform applies computer vision and deep learning to patient-derived cancer cells to identify unique biomarkers and generate predictive maps of how tumors progress and evolve. This enables NeuScience to identify drug combinations that can adapt as cancers change — with initial clinical focus on glioblastoma, one of the most treatment-resistant brain cancers. Founded by Guillermo Vela, a former Johns Hopkins cancer and stem cell researcher, the company is backed by Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund and the Geekdom Fund.
