Literal is a K-12 reading platform that pairs curriculum-aligned literature with AI-powered scaffolds — including chat view, audio, multilingual support, and social annotation — to make grade-level reading accessible and engaging for every student. Teachers use Literal to assign texts, differentiate instruction across reading levels and languages, run formative assessments, and track student progress, all without replacing their existing curriculum. The platform supports novels, plays, poems, speeches, manga, and comics from Comics Plus, and integrates with Google Classroom, Clever, and major LMS platforms. Literal is COPPA and FERPA compliant and runs on Google Cloud Platform SOC2-certified infrastructure.
