Lemon connects customers to distant partner solar plants so clean energy arrives through the existing utility, with no owned-panel cost and no installation work. Customers of 12 utilities in Brazil sign up online, send a power bill and document, and Lemon handles the rest. Customers join a clean-energy consortium, a collective way to use solar with other consumers; Lemon is paid by the consortium to administer the process, organize credits, issue invoices, and give support, and each customer pays only their share for a cheaper energy bill. The Lemon app lets customers pay and understand their solar energy consumption.
