Building next-generation towers for the next generation of wind power.
Keystone Tower Systems develops an automated spiral-welding manufacturing process for wind turbine towers, enabling production of towers up to twice as tall as conventional towers at 10x faster speeds with less steel. The company's tapered spiral welding technology is covered by more than 100 patents and enables field-welded towers exceeding 140-meter hub-heights. In 2023, Keystone and GE Renewable Energy deployed the world's first commercial spiral-welded wind turbine tower — an 89-meter tower on a GE 2.8MW turbine certified for 40 years by TÜV NORD. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Pampa, Texas capable of producing approximately 1GW of towers annually. Keystone was acquired by NOV Inc. and its website now redirects to NOV.
