InPlanet is a remote-first climate tech startup headquartered in Germany and Brazil, pioneering Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) as a scalable and verified carbon dioxide removal solution. Founded in 2022 by Felix Harteneck and Niklas Kluger, the company works with farmers in tropical regions — primarily Brazil — to apply crushed silicate rock dust to agricultural soils, accelerating natural weathering processes that absorb atmospheric CO2 while simultaneously restoring soil health and improving agricultural productivity. InPlanet developed proprietary MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) methodology and became the first company to deliver certified ERW carbon removal credits. The company has secured offtake agreements with customers including Microsoft and is a recognized leader in the CDR market.
