Founded in November 2000 by Gopal Raghavan, Tim Semones, and Loi Nguyen, Inphi developed linear transimpedance amplifiers, modulator drivers, coherent DSPs, PAM4 silicon, and silicon photonic-based subsystems used in long-haul, metro, and data center interconnect applications. Inphi traded on Nasdaq as IPHI and generated $683 million in revenue in 2020. In April 2021, the company was acquired by Marvell Technology for $8.2 billion.
