Heralbony

Heralbony is a Japanese creative company that manages art licenses for artists with intellectual disabilities, transforming their works into fashion, interior products, corporate collaborations, and branding. Founded in 2018 in Iwate, northern Japan, by twin brothers Takaya and Fumito Matsuda, the company currently manages over 2,000 artworks by more than 300 artists worldwide, paying royalties directly to artists and their supporting welfare organizations. Partner companies pay project fees for use of the artwork in product development, creating a sustainable income model for artists. In 2024, Heralbony received the LVMH Innovation Award and opened a European subsidiary in Paris, with artists in some cases earning the equivalent of a full professional salary in Japan through licensing revenue.
