Democratizing access to molecular diagnostics
GlowDx is an Irish molecular diagnostics company founded in 2015 by Blaine Doyle and Yensi Flores Bueso, students from UCC's MSc in Molecular Cell Biology with Bioinnovation. The company is developing a point-of-care (POC) diagnostics platform using novel molecular science to provide developing countries with high-quality diagnostic tests for infectious diseases. GlowDx participated in the RebelBio accelerator and received recognition at the Irish Business Youth Entrepreneur Awards. The platform aims to tackle neglected tropical diseases and improve epidemiology surveillance in resource-limited settings.
