Fundomundo

Fundomundo is an online education marketplace founded in 2021 and headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, focused on providing interactive live learning experiences for children aged 3 to 18. The platform connects educators with students for small-group, live video classes conducted via Zoom, covering a wide range of subjects including art, science, languages, social skills, and after-school activities. Fundomundo serves a dual-sided marketplace: parents and children benefit from accessible, engaging instruction, while teachers gain a platform to reach students and earn income on their own schedule. The company raised $900,000 in a pre-seed round and subsequently secured additional investment from Flat6Labs Abu Dhabi, with further participation from investors including D4 Ventures, CollectiveSpark, Kaan Demirag, and Elif Sansal. Co-founded by Emre Ekmekci, who also serves as president of the Turkish E-Commerce Association, Fundomundo targets the global after-school activities market with a technology-first, live-video-first approach to extracurricular education.
