Formlogic

Formlogic (formerly known as Subscale) is a Pittsburgh-based autonomous manufacturing company that provides rapid, precision-machined components for space and frontier industries. Its core innovation is a software/virtualization layer that generates auditable business forms, validations, and backend production logic directly from natural-language part requirements, letting engineers remotely plan a job that is then executed in an autonomous, AI-run factory using CNC and other precision equipment. Founded in 2019 and led by CEO Paul Sutter (a repeat founder who previously sold companies to AltaVista and Citrix), Formlogic raised a $20.4M Series A led by Two Sigma Ventures with participation from Alumni Ventures, and secured a further $20M in equipment financing from Trinity Capital in February 2024 to expand its CNC manufacturing capacity.
