Farm to Feed

Farm to Feed is a women-led Kenyan agritech startup founded in 2021 that operates a tech-enabled food recovery marketplace connecting smallholder farmers to commercial buyers. The company aggregates surplus and imperfect produce — which would otherwise go to waste — and distributes it to hotels, caterers, food processors, restaurants, and institutional buyers across Kenya. Farm to Feed's platform provides farmers with access to reliable markets, increasing their incomes by up to 249%, while enabling buyers to source fresh, traceable, and affordable produce. The company also produces a Ready-to-Use range that extends shelf life and adds value to rescued produce. To date, Farm to Feed has saved over one million kilograms of food from waste, served 6,000 smallholder farmers, and avoided 2,441 tonnes of CO₂e. In 2025, the company raised $1.5M in seed funding from investors including Mercy Corps Ventures and Catalyst Fund.
