Operating primarily in Rwanda and Uganda since 2014, the company works with local entrepreneurs and masons to install earth floors and earth plaster as a healthy alternative to dirt floors, which affect roughly 70% of rural households in those countries. EarthEnable was recognized with the 2025 Skoll Award for Social Innovation and has created or improved over 1,000 jobs in eastern Africa.
