Crowdsourced same-day delivery for omnichannel retail
Founded in 2012 in Menlo Park, California by Daphne Carmeli, Deliv operated a crowdsourced same-day delivery platform serving omnichannel retailers including Walmart, mall operators, and major brands. Deliv's driver network underwent an extensive vetting process and its service expanded to 33 markets and 1,400 cities by 2017. The company raised funding from the four largest U.S. mall operators as well as General Catalyst, Redpoint Ventures, Trinity Ventures, UPS, Google, Enterprise Holdings, and GM. In May 2020, Target Corporation acquired Deliv's technology and team; Carmeli and her team joined Target, which had previously acquired Shipt and Grand Junction.
