Cyto-Facto Inc. is a Japanese contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing exclusively in cell and gene therapy products, spun out from the Cell Therapy Development Center at the Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation (FBRI) in Kobe. The company provides comprehensive GMP-compliant services spanning process development, clinical trial manufacturing, and commercial manufacturing of CAR-T cells, mesenchymal stem cells (MSC), and iPSC-derived therapies under PIC/S GMP and GCTP standards. Cyto-Facto has historical distinction as the only CAR-T manufacturing site in Asia and first in Japan to manufacture Kymriah (tisagenlecleucel) for clinical and commercial use. The company raised ¥300 million in initial financing and a ¥1.18 billion Series A, and operates its primary GMP facility on Port Island in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.
