Cosomil

Cosomil, Inc. (コウソミル株式会社) is a Japanese biotech startup developing single-molecule enzyme activity-based liquid biopsy technology for early disease detection and drug development support. Founded in 2022 and headquartered at the University of Tokyo's entrepreneurship lab, Cosomil uses proprietary fluorescent enzyme substrates and microdevices to measure enzyme activity at the single-molecule level with ultra-high sensitivity. Their primary application is early detection of pancreatic cancer through blood tests. The company operates two business lines: early diagnostic drug development and pharmaceutical development support. Backed by investors including ANRI, Delight Ventures, and Coral Capital, Cosomil raised a Series A1 round in February 2026 to accelerate cancer screening blood test implementation in Japan and the US.
