Ceregate

CereGate is a German neurotechnology company developing a software-based Computer-Brain Interface (CBI) platform that enables a new communication channel with the brain through patterned neurostimulation. The platform is hardware-agnostic, meaning it can work across various neurostimulation devices, and is designed to restore and reimagine human senses for therapeutic applications. CereGate's core technology patterns electrical stimulation signals to convey information directly to the nervous system — enabling sensory restoration and treating conditions where standard neuromodulation is insufficient. The company received backing from High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) in 2019 and completed an undisclosed Series A round in 2020. CereGate's platform targets clinical development applications across neuromodulation, deep brain stimulation (DBS), and spinal cord stimulation (SCS).
