Builders Patch

Builders Patch is a cloud-based software platform designed to streamline the financing and development of affordable multifamily housing in the United States. Founded in 2017 by Kanan Ajmera — an architect-turned-affordable housing underwriter with experience at PNC, Richman Housing, and Citibank — the platform brings together developers, equity investors, lenders, and housing finance agencies on a single digital workspace. It automates the four-to-six month closing process for LIHTC and other affordable housing deals, replacing fragmented phone calls, spreadsheets, and siloed tools with a structured deal management system. Builders Patch addresses a critical gap in affordable housing infrastructure at a time when the US faces a shortage of millions of units.
