Biosourcing has developed a proprietary technological platform to express proteins of interest in the milk of dedicated animals, shifting from steel bioreactors to natural bioreactors. Combining CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing, nuclear transfer, and reproductive technology, the company industrializes goat milk as a natural bioreactor to produce high-quality, affordable biopharmaceuticals such as fully human monoclonal antibodies at significantly lower cost and carbon footprint than conventional production. Based in Liege, Belgium since 2014, its team of roughly 15 scientists pursues co-development and co-ownership models to broaden global access to biotherapeutics.
