Bellwether Coffee designs and manufactures the world's only electric, ventless, automatic commercial coffee roaster, enabling any business to sustainably source and roast their own coffee on-site without gas lines, ventilation systems, or special construction. Founded in 2013 in Berkeley, California by Ricardo Lopez, Bellwether's mission is to create a sustainable future for coffee by decarbonizing the roasting process — eliminating billions of pounds of CO2 annually — and strengthening the coffee supply chain through farmer equity initiatives including its Living Income Pricing program. The company serves independent retailers, cafes, and grocery chains seeking to own their margins and serve fresher coffee.
