Aurelius Systems

Aurelius Systems is a San Francisco-based defense technology company developing autonomous laser weapons to counter modern drone threats. Its flagship product, Archimedes, is a fully autonomous counter-UAS laser system that combines high-power directed energy lasers, advanced optical sensing, and AI-guided autonomy to track, target, and neutralize Group 1 and Group 2 aerial threats in real time — with no operator required. Designed to be compact, field-portable, and deployable from grid, generator, or battery power, Archimedes can be fielded in numbers to form resilient defense grids protecting forces, facilities, and critical infrastructure. Built on COTS components for cost efficiency and fast production, the system delivers a fraction-of-a-dollar cost per engagement versus traditional missile-based defenses. Aurelius raised a $10 million seed round co-led by General Catalyst and Draper Associates in September 2025, and has since opened a U.S. manufacturing line and demonstrated the Archimedes platform at T-REX 26-2.
