Arkoon was a French cybersecurity company founded in Lyon in 2000 that developed unified threat management (UTM) firewalls with built-in antivirus protection, later expanding into file encryption (SecurityBox, via its 2006 acquisition of MSI) and endpoint protection (via its 2009 acquisition of SkyRecon Systems). In 2012, Airbus Defence & Space (now Airbus CyberSecurity) acquired Arkoon along with Netasq, merging both into what became the Stormshield brand, which continues to sell Arkoon's original UTM and endpoint technology as Stormshield Network Security and Stormshield Endpoint Security.
