Powering the future of AI data center infrastructure
Amperesand builds advanced Solid State Transformer (SST) power conversion systems for AI data centers, industrial electrification, and utility applications. Founded in 2023 as a spin-out from the Energy Research Institute at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the company's third-generation SST delivers medium-voltage to low-voltage conversion efficiency greater than 98.5%, greater than 80% reduction in electrical equipment footprint versus traditional infrastructure, and 99.999% uptime. The platform is built on a decade of R&D and silicon carbide (SiC) power electronics, enabling fast deployment and integration with renewable energy assets. Amperesand operates manufacturing and engineering centers in Reno, Nevada and San Francisco, California, with R&D headquarters in Singapore. In 2025, the company raised an $80M Series A co-led by Walden Catalyst Ventures and Temasek.
