3DC Inc. is a Tokyo-based deep-tech startup commercializing Graphene MesoSponge (GMS), a next-generation three-dimensional carbon material originally developed at Tohoku University by Professor Hirotomo Nishihara in 2014. GMS offers exceptional electrical conductivity, mechanical flexibility, and structural controllability, making it a high-performance conductive additive for lithium-ion and next-generation batteries. Since its founding in 2022, 3DC has received major public grants including up to JPY 800 million from NIMS/Cabinet Office and JPY 500 million from NEDO, positioning it at the forefront of Japan's battery materials innovation ecosystem.
