Bread & Butter Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, founded in 2017 by Managing Partners Mary Grove and Brett Brohl. The firm invests globally in seed-stage companies while leveraging Minnesota's deep industry networks in food, healthcare, and enterprise sectors. Bread & Butter Ventures backs founders building in three core sectors: food technology (software and hardware across the food value chain, excluding CPG), health tech and vertical SaaS (digital health workflow software and data platforms, excluding FDA-regulated devices and pharmaceuticals), and enterprise technology (supply chain, commerce, and organizational software). The firm closed its fourth fund, a $40 million vehicle, in March 2025, bringing total investments to 66 companies since 2017 across firms like Hungry, Delfina, River Health, Clean Crop Technologies, and Fulcrum.
