Zilift

Zilift was an Aberdeen, Scotland-based oil and gas technology company that developed and commercialized permanent magnet-based artificial lift systems for the upstream oil and gas industry. Founded in May 2009, the company's flagship products—SpeedDrive and TorqueDrive—used permanent magnet motor technology in electric submersible pump (ESP) configurations to deliver more efficient and reliable downhole artificial lift in challenging well conditions. Zilift's systems were designed to reduce operating costs and improve production performance in mature oilfields. The company was acquired by Schlumberger (now SLB) on April 2, 2021, and its technologies were fully integrated into SLB's electric submersible pump product portfolio. As a pre-acquisition standalone entity, Zilift focused on the oil and gas services sector with direct sales to operators.
