York Space Systems is a Denver-based space and defense prime contractor founded in 2012 to radically improve spacecraft affordability and reliability. The company designs and manufactures a complete suite of mission-critical solutions spanning spacecraft platforms, components, launch services, ground systems, and mission operations. York's flight-proven satellite platforms support high-volume production and rapid deployment, serving U.S. military and commercial constellation customers. The company controls its supply chain directly to ensure resilience and availability of critical parts, and operates a multi-mission operations center (M-MOC) with its proprietary Bastion ground software. York also provides laser mesh connectivity for secure, seamless constellation control. In February 2026 the company went public on the NYSE under the ticker YSS in one of the largest space IPOs to date.
