Yaqumo

Yaqumo Inc. is a deep-tech startup based in Tokyo, Japan, founded in April 2025 by researchers from Kyoto University's Takahashi Laboratory and the Institute for Molecular Science's Ohmori Laboratory—both global leaders in neutral atom quantum computing research. The company is developing large-scale, fault-tolerant neutral-atom quantum computers with the goal of making quantum computing truly practical and commercially deployable. Neutral atom quantum computing is a next-generation architecture offering high scalability and stable qubit performance compared to competing approaches. Yaqumo targets applications across materials science, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and finance. The company has signed an MOU with Entropica Labs and has received seed funding from Quantonation, JIC VGI, and Toyota Innovation Partners (TIP). Yaqumo is headquartered at the Yusen Building in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
