The product offered gas abstraction so users could pay on-chain fees from a single USDC or token balance, plus social-login setup without managing a seed phrase. Founded in 2020, the company rebuilt the wallet as a design-led product aimed at making self-custody accessible beyond technical users. Ctrl Wallet permanently shut down in August 2026 after a security exploit.
