Wiom is a Gurugram, India-based internet services company founded in 2015 that operates under the PM-WANI framework to democratize affordable broadband access across India. The company enables individuals and small ISPs to share their home broadband connections as public Wi-Fi hotspots, providing unlimited internet to middle and lower-income households through a pay-as-you-go recharge model. Wiom's asset-light platform lets customers recharge broadband by the day — starting at Rs. 23 per day — so households only pay for the days they need connectivity, eliminating wasteful monthly contracts. The platform is available across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Lucknow, Agra, Prayagraj, Mumbai, and expanding cities. Founded by Satyam Darmora, Nishit Aggarwal, Maanas Dwivedi, and Ashutosh Mishra, Wiom has grown to over 237 employees and raised over $65M in funding with backing from Accel, RTP Global, YourNest, and Bertelsmann India Investments.
