About

Whistler Pipeline is a joint venture natural gas transportation system providing approximately 2.5 billion cubic feet per day of capacity across roughly 450 miles of 42-inch intrastate pipeline. The system transports natural gas from the Waha Header in the Permian Basin of West Texas to Agua Dulce in South Texas, serving as a critical takeaway infrastructure for Permian Basin gas producers. The project was jointly developed by WhiteWater Midstream, MPLX, and a Stonepeak/West Texas Gas joint venture, with full commercial service commencing on July 1, 2021. The pipeline has since undergone ownership changes including acquisition of a majority interest by I Squared Capital in 2023 and a strategic combination announced with Enbridge's Rio Bravo natural gas assets in 2024.
