Voltas Limited is an Indian multinational home appliance company and a subsidiary of the Tata Group, incorporated in Mumbai in 1954 as a collaboration between Tata Sons and Volkart Brothers. Voltas is India's largest air conditioning company by market share and manufactures a broad range of products including air conditioners, air coolers, refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, and water dispensers. Beyond consumer appliances, the company operates a large engineering solutions and project business, having delivered landmark HVAC and electro-mechanical projects globally — including air conditioning for the Burj Khalifa and the RMS Queen Mary 2. With revenues of approximately US$1.6 billion in FY2025 and over 10,600 employees, Voltas holds a dominant position in India's cooling market.
