Founded in 2018 by Dan Crothers and David Yu, VeVe is a mobile-first digital collectibles platform that brings premium licensed NFTs to the mass market. The platform has sold over 10 million NFTs and features an in-app marketplace, augmented reality photo mode, and a social feed for sharing collectibles. VeVe holds licenses from leading entertainment brands including Disney, Marvel, DC Comics, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, tokidoki, and Back to the Future, offering 3D digital figurines and digital comics. In 2024, VeVe expanded by launching VeVe Comics, a digital comics reader available on iOS and Android that releases titles on the same day as print. VeVe committed to 100% carbon neutral NFTs in March 2021 and has provided over $7 million in grants to environmental nonprofits. The platform uses Ethereum's Immutable X layer 2 protocol for zero gas fees and high-throughput trading, making it one of the top-grossing entertainment apps on both the Google Play and Apple App Stores.
